Pottery Painting and Potluck

The Italian art form of painting ceramics with bright colors over a white base glaze is known as Majolica. The Friends host a public Majolica party once a month, complete with a Potluck dinner. Everyone's welcome--bring the whole family!

Please see our Calendar of Events for the next scheduled party!
When: 6-9PM Where: The WAC Admission: $10 per adult, $5 per child.Admission fee includes up to three hours of studio use, all glazes, and the kiln firing.

Ceramics are priced individually and are purchased separately.

A selection of ceramic pieces in all shapes, sizes, and prices are available for purchase. These are already dipped in the white base glaze and ready for some serious decorating. We provide dozens of colored glazes, brushes, palettes, books for inspiration, and even a little coaching if needed! Make yourself that perfect vase, plate, or teapot and unleash your inner artist.

The pots made at these events will be used for our Fundraisers--either for the "Empty Bowls" event (more below), or for our Raku Pottery Experience at the State Fair. "EB" pots will be sold to benefit the Marion-Polk Food Share, while Raku "tea bowls" will be sold at the Fair to help fund our very own WAC.
